NOTICE TO THE RESIDENTS OF LOWER ALSACE TOWNSHIP, BERKS COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public meeting will be held by the Lower Alsace
Township Zoning Hearing Board on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Lower Alsace
Township Building, 1200 Carsonia Avenue, Reading, Pennsylvania. The purpose of the hearing
is to consider the Application of S.J.C. Real Estate, LLC, for a variance and/or special exception
under Section 406(B) of the Joint Zoning Ordinance for Lower Alsace Township and Mount
Penn Borough of 2011, as amended. The Subject Property is identified with Tax Property ID 23
5327-14-23-8822 and is located at 16 Columbia Avenue, Lower Alsace Township, Berks
County, Pennsylvania. Applicant is requesting a use variance to allow the Subject Property to be
utilized as a private gathering location for individuals served through Applicant’s adult
intellectual disability program. The Subject Property is located in the R-4, High Density
Residential Zoning District.
