2024 Street Sweeping Program
Street Sweeping in Lower Alsace Township
Our annual Street Sweeping program is planned for April 16th through April 19th, from 7 AM to 6 PM each day (weather Permitting).
No Parking signs will be posted on the side of the streets in advance of the sweeping crews, so everyone can park on one side of the street. Residents are advised to move their cars when signs are posted for this purpose.
The Road Crew and Central Berks Regional Police will be making every effort to contact the owners of vehicles which are parked where No Parking signs have been posted. Vehicles will not be towed unless the vehicle is in violation of other laws, such as uninspected vehicles, but parking tickets can be issued during the hours when street sweeping is occurring.
The No Parking enforcement will ONLY take place between the hours of 7 AM to 6 PM. This will allow residents to park in the evenings.
The program will not clean mountain roads. Those roads will be cleaned by the Township Road Crew on a date to be determined.
