NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public meeting will be held by the Lower Alsace Township Zoning Hearing Board on Monday, June 29, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Lower Alsace Township Building, 1200 Carsonia Avenue, Reading, Pennsylvania. The purpose of the hearing is to consider the Application of Redner Properties Limited Partnership for a variance and/or special exception under Sections 408, 502 and 804 of the Joint Zoning Ordinance for Lower Alsace Township and Mount Penn Borough of 2011, as amended. The Subject Property is identified with Tax Property ID 23-5327-17-11-3893 and is located at 801 Carsonia Avenue, Lower Alsace Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania. Applicant seeks a special exception from Section 408(D)(7) to expand the grocery store located on the Subject Property with a 7,140 square foot addition near its northern boundary that abuts the right-of-way for Carsonia Avenue. Applicant is also seeking dimensional variances from Sections 502(G) and 804(O)(R) with regard to setback and parking requirements. The Subject Property is located in the C-1 Local Commercial and Carsonia Avenue Overlay Zoning Districts.
